The photo and its EXIF metadata stay on the device in free local mode. ## How do I turn a transparent PNG into a white JPG? Open https://whitebackground.app/add-white-background-to-png and choose the transparent PNG. Its existing transparency is used directly. Choose the framing, inspect the cutout against pure white (#FFFFFF), and export a JPG or a white-background PNG. If a checkerboard is baked into the image pixels, the image does not have transparency in that area. ## How do I change a product photo's background to white? Select Wide handbag to try a 1536 x 1024 px landscape sample. At the default framing it exports a 1807 x 1807 px square with white padding and both handles visible. Protected areas use standard enlarged pixels and can remain soft. AI can change lettering and texture. For files under 20 MB, 2x accepts an input up to 1100 px on its longest edge and outputs up to 2200 px. The 4x option accepts an input up to 1024 px and outputs up to 4096 px. The multiplier refers to dimensions. ## How do I download a blank white canvas? Open https://whitebackground.app/white-background-images. Choose HD, 4K or a custom size and download a pure white JPG or PNG. A source photo is unnecessary. This tool creates a blank image. ## What is free, and when is Cloud involved? Free single-photo background editing runs locally and exports up to 2200 px on the longest edge. The separate free enhancer and blank-canvas tool have their own output limits. Pro adds batch processing for up to 100 photos, up to 4096 px photo exports and 500 Cloud credits per month, issued monthly on annual plans too. A one-time pack adds 300 non-expiring Cloud credits. Connect https://whitebackground.app/mcp using Streamable HTTP. create_white_canvas returns a real pure white PNG and download URL from width and height. open_photo_editor chooses a local browser workflow for white backgrounds, transparent cutouts, transparent PNG composition, square padding, Shopify sizing or local enlargement. The user chooses a photo in the editor and downloads there. MCP Apps clients may show an embedded editor; other clients receive a browser link. The public MCP accepts no photos and has no account or Cloud-credit access. Setup and optional skill download are at https://whitebackground.app/integrations. ## Optional authorized Cloud connection The separate https://whitebackground.app/mcp/cloud connection requires OAuth and must be enabled by the service. Discover its actual tools; the free public connection does not gain Cloud permissions from installing a skill. get_cloud_account checks existing entitlement and credits. prepare_cloud_cutout prepares one request and returns a confirmation page; preparation does not fetch a photo, call the paid provider or spend a credit. Supported hosts can provide a signed attachment file reference; otherwise choose the photo on the confirmation page. The signed-in owner confirms uploading to WhiteBackground and KIE, spending 1 existing Cloud credit and sharing the result with that assistant connection. Keep the confirmation page open to compose and save the white JPG from the completed cutout. get_cloud_result polls that same request and returns the actual private download links. A white file is ready only when whiteReady is true and whiteUrl exists; cutoutUrl alone is the raw transparent provider result. The page also offers a white PNG download and 70–95% subject fill adjustments without another paid provider call. Reuse request IDs on retries; failed or timed-out jobs follow existing refunds and are not automatically resubmitted. Existing plans and credit allowances stay unchanged. Cloud supports JPG/PNG/WebP up to 5 MB, 256–4096 px per side and 16 MP, with a 2200 px input/export edge for Cloud-pack users and up to 4096 px for Pro.
